In order to further support the growth, the Greenyard Frozen Division team coordinating on an international level the frozen activities is looking for a Divisional Fruit Buyer.

Position

• You are responsible for buying fruit and play the interface between third party frozen fruit suppliers located worldwide and the Greenyard Frozen operating sites in Europe.
• You ensure the availability of product according to specified quality standards and manage supply chain and stock levels.
• You develop new supplier partnerships and identify best options matching suppliers and customer needs.
• You negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery conditions with these suppliers in order to optimize the profitability of the category.
• You follow up purchasing contracts and maintain supplier’s relationship and performance data (KPI’s, certification, audit report, quality standards, specifications,…).
• You align an optimal purchasing strategy with all internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, R&D, S&OP, Sales, Finance, Manufacturing) and participate to the portfolio strategy by funneling information from market/suppliers.
• You are part of the Greenyard Frozen divisional team and report directly to the Division Procurement Director.

Profile

• You hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in purchasing fruits.
• You have knowledge of trends and growth opportunities in the sector.
• You have good negotiation skills, an out-of-the-box mindset, and critical-analytical thinking.
• You are a pioneer with a creative and open mind, capable to initiate new projects, structures and change.
• You have strong entrepreneurial, project management, and financial skills.
• You act as a role model for Greenyard’s values - Passion, Entrepreneurial, Reliable, Creative and Sharing - and instill values in the team.
• You are fluent in both French and English. Knowledge of Dutch or another European language is a plus.
