Our client wants to enlarge its scope with investments in different sectors (startup & innovation  context) and is offering a very interesting assignment for a strategic management consultant with knowledge of the energy market.


  • defines the purpose, develops and maintains the strategic direction, sets the objectives and defines the key results to enable the department focus on the right priorities for the company, the (internal/external) customers and the value creation
  • contributes to overall company strategy by mapping and analyzing the current and future needs of the business, organization, (internal/external) stakeholders and market/technology/regulations and ensures the transfer of strategy and process information to the concerned stakeholders
  • initiates optimizations and new initiatives (processes, systems, policies, product introductions and/or partner selection) within the domain of responsibilities and in line/corporation with other departments
  • develops, monitors and adjusts the department budget, is business owner of P&L and is accountable for the definition of SLA’s and associated KPI’s in terms of cost effectiveness, standards, quality, efficiency, minimizing cost for the business and improvement targets
  • in collaboration with all the involved stakeholders, takes facts-driven and justified decisions (also difficult ones) and makes required trade-offs
  • facilitates the delivery of service excellence through monitoring and constant evaluation of the performance to drive continuous improvement; establishes and manages continuous service improvement programs investigating all appropriate means to improve service levels, takes account of financial constraints, and recommends new or revised policies, procedures or investments, implements specific proposals
  • recruits, leads, manages and develops a team of permanent/temporary staff, defines roles, responsibilities, objectives, personal development goals and training requirements. Provides growth-oriented, constructive and timely feedback and/or coaching to the members of the department in order to stimulate their growth and ensures that the points for development are addressed and improved. Establishes a culture of "self-learning and continuous self-improvement" and embeds company values
  • represents the company during interactions with internal and external stakeholders. Coordinates and aligns beyond own department interest to identify best solutions to deliver highest quality results and enables the value creation


  • relevant experience in defining, implementing and enforcing strategies
  • good knowledge of the energy market (mandatory, +/-12y)
  • M&A experience
  • experience in stakeholder management
  • very good communication skills in English
