Finance Director

Function

As Finance Director, you will play a key role in defining and executing the financial strategy of Pattyn, ensuring strong financial performance, compliance, and strategic decision-making across all entities.

• As a member of the Pattyn Management Team, you work in close collaboration with fellow leadership, providing strategic financial insights and guidance on key decisions that impact the business both in the short and long term. Acting as a strategic business partner, you play a critical role in shaping the company’s direction and contributing to the achievement of its overall objectives.
• As part of the integration into Duravant you will be responsible for establishing a solid financial foundation across all Pattyn entities, implementing robust processes and frameworks for financial reporting, control, and analysis.
• Your scope will cover the full financial spectrum: from accounting and financial reporting to controlling, budgeting, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A). You will lead efforts to strengthen forecasting accuracy, monitor performance, and support data-driven decision-making across the business.
• You will be instrumental in driving financial discipline and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, supporting the organization’s long-term growth and operational efficiency.
• You help develop and closely monitor financial and operational reporting, dashboards, and KPIs to ensure that data from all regions is uniform, timely, and accurate for further analysis, thereby enabling proactive decision-making. You analyze figures, compare them with departmental budgets, and make adjustments where necessary.
• In close alignment with the Group CEO of Pattyn and the Finance Leadership of Duravant, you will actively contribute to strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects that support profitability and value creation across the group.
• As the business owner of the ERP implementation (Microsoft Dynamics 365), you will provide strategic direction, secure organizational alignment, and ensure the successful deployment and adoption of the system across all relevant functions.
• You will lead and further develop an international team of finance professionals, creating an environment where ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement are embedded in the way of working.

Profile

• You hold a master’s degree in Finance, Business Engineering or Applied Economic Sciences.
• You have a proven track record as a Finance Director in a complex industrial and international environment.
• You have demonstrated experience in establishing financial processes and structures for multiple entities worldwide.
• You are a critical challenger and a true asset to the company and its long-term strategy.
• You have solid expertise in developing management reporting tools and the ability to translate financial figures into strategic business advice.
• You have experience with US GAAP.
• You have strong IT affinity and preferably bring experience acting as a business owner or key user in ERP implementations, ideally with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
• In terms of personality, you stand out for your decisiveness, leadership, and integrity. Communication and stakeholder management are among your key strengths. Additionally, you are entrepreneurial, punctual, and flexible, allowing you to operate effectively at different levels.
• You are proficient in Dutch, French and English, both written and spoken.
• You have an international mindset and are willing to work abroad (approximately 25%).
