Position

Main responsibilities

The Field Sales Manager is responsible for the hospital sales team and he/she:

  • Supports, coaches and motivates the sales team.
  • Organizes and coordinates monthly meetings with each team member to track project progress, assess the strength of the sales pipeline, and ensure alignment with strategic/commercial priorities.
  • Spends 75% of the time supporting, developing, and monitoring the team through joint client visits and assisting in preparing client discussions.
  • Assists the sales team in monitoring contracts (with the help of sales support) and supports related negotiations.
  • Is responsible for his/her own product range or a portfolio of clients.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with key decision-makers in hospitals, purchasing organizations, etc.
  • Works closely with the management team to define and implement effective commercial action plans, considering short-, medium-, and long-term sales objectives for each pillar (division).
  • Is responsible for monitoring revenue, margin, and achieving sales budget targets.
  • Participates in national congresses, meetings, and workshops to represent Vygon (including weekends if necessary).
  • Handles the commercial aspects of tenders in collaboration with the Business Manager, Customer Sales Support, and Tender Officer.
  • Contributes annually to the preparation of the sales budget.
  • Reports directly to the General Manager Benelux on a monthly basis.

Management responsibilities

The Field Sales Manager:

  • Defines priorities for each of the team members, in line with the company strategy and commercial action plans.
  • Leads the team, ensuring its development and operational capacity, notably by promoting internal training.
  • Provides his/her team with the information they need to perform their tasks and encourages information sharing within the Benelux team.
  • Evaluates the performance of team members and conducts annual reviews.
  • Ensures that internal rules and regulations are respected: quality, hygiene, safety, regulations, social aspects, etc.

Profile

  • You have obtained a Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in nursing, physiotherapy, marketing, business administration, or another relevant field.
  • You have at least 2 years of people management experience in a sales management or key account management role and in-depth knowledge of the company's key clients: the hospitals.
  • You are able to multitask, prioritize, and manage your time effectively.
  • Your business acumen translates into strong negotiation and networking skills.
  • You have an excellent command of Dutch, French and English (both written and spoken).
