Finance Director ad interim

Our Client

Our client is a high-tech manufacturing company based in Leuven. They are specialized in autonomous solutions , with a strong focus on R&D and innovation. The company is in a phase of a positive takeover, which creates a stimulating, albeit somewhat tense, working environment. 

Challenge and Context

The current Finance Director has been given a new role within the group, but remains available for a smooth handover. The biggest challenge is to bring calm and stability to the finance teams, who are highly motivated but are experiencing some 'nervousness' due to the recent takeover. 

You will lead the finance department, which consists of three teams: Accounting, FP&A and Legal. The FP&A Manager will be leaving in mid-October, but an adequate replacement has already been found. 

Contract management and legal matters are also part of your responsibilities. 

As an Interim Finance Director, you will be part of the Senior Management Team and will report to the new, pragmatic and numbers-oriented President. You will work closely with the leaders of HR, Sales, BDT, Operations, and Innovation. 

Desired Profile

We are looking for a candidate with the following characteristics: 

• Fluent in Dutch and English. English is the official language within the company. 

• Experience with mergers and acquisitions. 

• Affinity with technology, R&D and the production or manufacturing industry. 

• Strong strategic insight and the ability to communicate a clear vision. 

• Business acumen, including financial analysis, market knowledge and risk management. 

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

• A pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset. 

Practical

• Assignment duration: 6 months, with a possibility of extension. 
• Location: Leuven, Belgium. 
• Start: ASAP.
